The One More Day Project began with a motorcycle ride across America, but the miles were never the mission.
The mission was the people.
Along the way I met veterans, first responders, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, and complete strangers. Many carried battles that weren't visible. Some shared stories of loss. Others shared stories of hope. Every conversation reinforced the same truth—we never truly know what someone else is carrying.

Every journey begins with a single mile. What started as a motorcycle ride across America soon became something much greater—a mission built on hope, purpose, and the belief that one conversation can change a life.

Before leaving Montana, we finished the Annual Warrior Creed Poker Run supporting K9 Care Montana, an organization that provides service dogs for veterans in need. From there, the journey continued west through Montana and into Washington, adding more miles, memories, and reminders of the purpose behind the One More Day Project.
▶ Watch Episode 8Episode Nine continues the One More Day Project south from Spokane, Washington to Las Vegas, Nevada. It was the shortest leg of the return trip, but one of the hardest days of the entire journey. The miles and long days were beginning to take their toll, temperatures continued to rise as I headed south, and hard rain north of Las Vegas added one more challenge. By this point, the attrition of the trip was catching up, making this day a reminder that the hardest part of a journey is not always the distance — sometimes it is simply finding enough to keep moving forward one more mile, one more hour, and one more day.

As familiar ground began to come into view, each mile carried the realization that the road portion of the mission was coming to an end. After 7,173 miles of heat, rain, fatigue, mechanical problems, unexpected stops, conversations, and memories, the scope and scale of the journey finally began to settle in. Once home, the weight of the miles and the time away became real, ending with a quiet celebration beside the pool — a cigar, a glass of whiskey, and a toast to the road, the people, the mission, and every mile that made the journey what it became. The riding was over, but the reflection was just beginning.
